Cycle around EdgewaterGreen... naturally

Half of Edgewater’s 95 hectares is dedicated to green open spaces (that’s 26 MCGs!), so you can stretch out across stunning parklands that extend right throughout the community. In fact, every time you step outside your front door, you’re just moments from nature with...

Meandering hike and bike trails that take you
jogging, walking or cycling down to the foreshore
and Maribyrnong Valley.

Rolling Mill Green, Harbour Park and Gordon Street
Park. Some of these community areas have dedicated kids’ playgrounds and all are perfect for a game of kick to kick with friends.
Jack’s Wood - a peaceful nature retreat filled with birdsong and spectacular city views.
Sculpture Park boasting exciting modern public art.
Edgewater’s Lake and surrounding parklands including Jensens Reserve and ideal waterside family picnic spot complete with BBQ facilities.
The spectacular Maribyrnong River.

Tranquil blue

One of the most significant features at Edgewater is Edgewater Lake. Joined to the Maribyrnong River by two channels, the lake will be suitable for use by small to medium sized boats and will offer direct water access to a variety of destinations, including The Docklands, Southgate and the city.

Take your canoe for a paddle, or spy the natural wildlife that indulge in Edgewater’s wetlands. The meandering pathways that accompanies the shoreline is a perfect way to explore the waterfront while a series of formal steps and boardwalks are perfect for catching your breath or to take in the sparkling waterfront. The proposed waterside café/restaurant will be the spot for dining out with friends and watching the boats go by.
